I studied History at Oxford and after graduating in 2008 I moved to York to take my law conversion and LPC at the College of Law.

After completing my LPC in 2010 I was employed by Rory Stewart MP for six months, working in both Westminster and Cumbria. I was Project Manager of his campaign to improve broadband access and the job gave me a great insight into the political arena as well as experience working with infrastructure providers and handling budgets. In spring 2011 I decided to pursue my passion for Italian food and culture and I spent two months living in Bologna teaching business English. Before starting Oxford I spent five months working in West Bengal and have enjoyed returning to the area to help establish a school and womens’ group.

Having been brought up in rural Cumbria, I very much appreciate and enjoy the outdoors.  I have completed two half marathons, one very wet one across Morecombe Bay and one extremely hilly one round Derwent Water. I also enjoy playing tennis and in particular playing Real Tennis which I played at Oxford and am planning to pick up again in London.
