- Hello and welcome back.
- A month into Business Services
Hello and welcome back.
It’s now my fourth month in my corporate seat, and we are officially very busy. I have had more “verification” to do, much as I did at the beginning of the seat, although for a very different kind of company, to raise money for an acquisition on the AIM market. I’ve also had slightly more control over the process this time, which is all part of the training, I’m assured; indeed the words “rite of passage” have been used. This has been time-consuming to say the least. Not to worry, though - once this client has gone out and raised the money it needs, this will feel like a satisfying job well done.
The main thing that has happened in the last couple of weeks in the firm as a whole is that the second-year trainees have been applying for NQ positions. The whole training contract feels very “real” compared to September, now, and I have been reminded about the need to constantly think of the goal at the end - where you would like to work, and how best you might achieve that. Watch this space for further updates.
Also, a big thanks to the very helpful vac scheme students who have been here recently. The very best of luck to any of you who may be embarking on our second summer placement scheme in the next few weeks. I may see you around!
