I was attracted to Bircham Dyson Bell for many reasons, including its diverse range of interesting practice areas and its reputation for welcoming applications from candidates with experience in other professions.
After studying ancient history, ancient Greek and ancient philosophy at Durham University (including an Erasmus year at the University of Bordeaux), I spent two years as a policy analyst at HM Treasury before working for homelessness and mental health charities and then in local government.
I have lived and worked or studied in a number of countries and have a strong interest in learning languages as a result. My latest project is Spanish and I go to evening classes round the corner from the office once a week. I spend the rest of my free time exploring the city, eating out with friends and enjoying London's independent cinemas.
