I studied law at the University of Sheffield, graduating in 2007 and completed the LPC in 2008 at the College of Law, Guildford.

Upon completion of the LPC I joined BDB as a paralegal within the then PPP (now G&I) department. I spent 18 months in this role, during which time I was able to gain an insight into the mechanics of the firm, the client base and the type of work undertaken. Although the firm is extremely busy, I found BDB to be a welcoming and down to earth practice with a good work/life balance. I then spent 12 months working as a Paralegal at Eversheds, within their human resources practice group.

I enjoy travel and have previously travelled extensively across Asia and Europe. I spent the 6 months prior to starting my training contract travelling through South East Africa, which has been an amazing experience. Personal highlights include taking a microlight flight over Victoria Falls and cliff jumping into Lake Malawi.

A keen sportsperson, I was a competitive swimmer for a number of years, a pastime that I now maintain (on a purely social level) by regularly attending the gym and pool. I enjoy running and in 2010 I competed in the Corporate Great Escape Challenge; a weekend of  hiking, cycling and kayaking in aid of Marie Curie Cancer care.  I thoroughly enjoyed this event and, providing I can convince others at BDB to take part, hope to compete again.
